​King Khaled Eye Specialist Hospital and Research Center proudly participated in the 44th Conference of the European Society of Cataract and Refractive Surgeons (ESCRS) , held in London, United Kingdom, from 11–15 September 2026 .​

KKESH&RC Concludes Second Phase of VIISA Early Intervention Program

King Khaled Specialist Eye Hospital and Research Center announced the successful completion of the second phase of the VIISA training program for early intervention services for children with visual impairment. The initiative follows the program's first phase and forms a key part of its ongoing efforts to strengthen early support for blind and visually impaired children alongside their families.

​The leadership of King Khaled Eye Specialist Hospital and Research Center visited the King Fahad Rehabilitation Center in Riyadh, on the 9th of July 2026,​ highlighting a shared commitment to improving the lives of children with disabilities. ​

KKESH&RC delegation, headed by CEO Dr. Abdulaziz bin Ibrahim AlRajhi, aiming to explore promising avenues for cooperation. The visit focused on learning more about the comprehensive medical care and rehabilitation services provided by the center, as well as exchanging expertise in rehabilitation programs designed for children with disabilities.

Enhancing Faster Care Through Digital Reporting: KKESH&RFC Hosts Workshop

​King Khaled Eye Specialist Hospital and Research Centre organized a workshop on its Digital Reporting service, bringing together key teams to deepen their understanding and improve how the service is utilized. 

The workshop was designed with a clear focus: to ensure participants fully appreciate the value of Digital Reporting, strengthen its efficient use across departments, and review the roles and responsibilities tied to handling reports and feedback. In addition, discussions centered on current challenges facing the service and the practical solutions proposed to further elevate service quality and strengthen the overall experience for every beneficiary.

​Under the slogan “Proud of My Skin Color – Celebrating All Skin Colors," World Albinism Awareness Day 2026 was observed on the 13th of June​. The day's central focus was to address color-based discrimination, social exclusion, and the mental health challenges faced by people with albinism.
