Beneficiaries Rights

King Khaled Eye Specialist Hospital and Research Center guarantees its beneficiaries' basic rights, which include the right to privacy, dignity and values, and the right to make decisions regarding their health status.

As a beneficiary at KKESH&RC, you have the right to the following:

Beneficiary or legal guardian is entitled to know beneficiaries' rights and responsibilities, and hospital's laws and regulations.

Beneficiary is entitled to be provided with the fair treatment as per the followed scope of service.

Beneficiary or legal guardian is entitled to be, fully and with an understandable language, involved with all beneficiary's medical condition related information.

Beneficiary or legal guardian is entitled to discuss the medical condition and treatment plan with strict confidentiality.

Beneficiary or legal guardian is entitled to participate in treatment plan.

Beneficiary or legal guardian is entitled to know about the trainees in the healthcare team.

Beneficiary is entitled to obtain the required healthcare at all times by maintaining their dignity and protecting their religious beliefs and social and cultural backgrounds.

Beneficiary or legal guardian is entitled to refuse the company of persons who are not related directly to the treatment process during examination, diagnosis or treatment.

Beneficiary or legal guardian is entitled to contact the healthcare medical team when needed.

Beneficiary or legal guardian is entitled to discuss with the healthcare team his/ her condition prior to any procedures including the informed consent discussion, except for emergencies.

Elderly beneficiary have the priority to receive healthcare services.

Beneficiary or legal guardian is entitled to reject the provided treatment plan or part of it, without contradicting the followed laws and regulations, after they are informed about the consequences.

Beneficiary or legal guardian is entitled to refuse or accept participating in medical researches after obtaining his/ her informed consent.

Beneficiary has the right to remain in the recovery room and not allowing anyone of his/ her family to enter until he/ she is fully conscious.

Beneficiary or legal guardian is entitled to know names and specialties of healthcare team.

Beneficiary or legal guardian is entitled to receive healthcare services where privacy is provided.

Beneficiary or legal guardian is entitled to receive all the needed and required healthcare instructions and medical reports after discharge.

Beneficiary or legal guardian is entitled to submit complaints and suggestions verbally or in written without affecting the services provided to him/ her.

Beneficiary has the right to receive the healthcare in safe and clean environment which is also suitable to his/ her medical conditions.
