King Khaled Eye Specialist Hospital & Research Center

King Khaled Eye Specialist Hospital & Research Center, established by royal decree in August 1979 at the behest of the late King Khaled and formally inaugurated in November 1983 during the era of King Fahad, stands as a premier institution in ophthalmology. A Royal Decree (No. 28341) issued in October 2024 affirmed its bylaws and designated the hospital as an independent, private, non-profit entity under the Royal Commission for Riyadh City. The hospital delivers advanced ophthalmic care across all ages, leveraging cutting-edge technologies and evidence-based medicine. Its comprehensive services encompass all subspecialties of ophthalmology, including anterior segment, pediatric ophthalmology and strabismus, glaucoma, neuro-ophthalmology, uveitis, retina, oculoplastic and reconstructive surgery, corneal transplantation, as well as optometry and vision rehabilitation. Beyond clinical care, KKESH&RC is a hub for education, training, and rehabilitation, contributing to the advancement of ophthalmology and eye surgery on local, regional, and international levels. KKESH&RC remains devoted to ongoing scientific and genetic research, scholarly publishing, and the hosting of specialized workshops, seminars, and conferences.
